Monster BTZ
I made BTZ a monster hoodie for Christmas so that he would look like his doppleganger Bre Pettis.
Which one is BTZ?

For a while now I have wanted a Heathkit amp. I am no audiophile but I like how the tubs light up and how they look in general.
I came home today and found that BTZ had restored (with the help of some guy named Earl) this:It is official he is the best boyfriend ever!

I saw the movie The Best of Youth over a year ago and I still think about it a lot.
I know a movie is good if I am thinking about it the next day. But a movie is great if you are thinking about it over a year later.
The Best of Youth is a six hour movie and it is in Italian which might make some people think "hell I am not going to watch a six hour movie in Italian." But I have major movie ADD, I normally spend part of the time in the movie theater trying to figure out how much more of the movie is left, and I did not do this in The Best of Youth. We did watch it over two nights but still three hours each night is a lot. Also I would watch all six hours again.
The movie itself is about two brother in Italy in the late 60s. It follows them through the 70s and 80s. I won't tell you more about it just that you should watch it.
It is one of the best movies I have ever seen and it is so worth six hours of your time.
I have a good song from the movie that I will upload to my next muxtape.
What movies do you still think about?

I just updated my muxtape. This is actually a mix CD I made for my friend Amy sometime last year. The CD had 19 songs on it but you can only have 12 songs on a muxtape so I cut some of the songs. Also, the song "I found a love" is supposed to be by Wilson Pickett but I did not have that song in MP3 form so I used the Ryan Shaw version of the song. If you get a chance check out the Wilson Pickett version of the song since it is really great.
Here is the track list:
1. I Found a Love - Ryan Shaw
2. Johnny Appleseed - Joe Strummer & The...
3. Our Hell - Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton
4. Going Missing - Maximo Park
5. If Looks Could Kill - Camera Obscura
6. Think Long - Mates of States
7. The Underdog - Spoon
8. Australia - The Shins
15. Anthems for A 17 Year Old Girl-BSS
16. Song for Myla Goldberg - The Decemberists
17. Plasticities - Andrew Bird
18. A Bottle of Buckie - Ted Leo & The Pharmacists
19. Back in Your Head - Tegan and Sara

I love mixtapes. I like the idea of sharing music with others and discovering what other people are listening to and how they put what they are listening to together in a mixtape. I was going to get all existential about how a song becomes more than a song on a mixtape but I won't. You can read the great book Love is A Mixtape by Rob Scheffield for that. What I am getting at is that I was so happy when I head about the website muxtape.com because it lets you make mixtapes on the web and share them with everyone. I made a muxtape and so did my friends tow and superg. I have decided I will change my muxtape up every few weeks (maybe every week if I feel inspired). I will post the track lists here.
Have you made a muxtape?
I thought this muxtape was funny.
*********UPDATE****************
Bryan just made a muxtape.
And here is my track list

It has stopped raining which is nice because now I get to ride my bike to school. All last week it rained and I had to take the bus everyday. I don't mind taking the bus here in Oakland/Berkeley because a lot of people take it and the bus also allows for some fun and not so fun experiences. I thought I would write about a few.
The bad:
Last week I got on a bus that smelled really bad, like someone had peed all over the bus, but I think it was really just one smelly guy. After my 20 minute bus ride I was glad to get some fresh air but the bus I caught home turned out to be the same bus and the same guy was still on the bus.
The good:
I overheard 2 preteen girls talking about Project Runway. Fortunately, I had just seen the episode they were talking about and I agreed that Ricky's outfit was horrible. Also one girl did a perfect impression of Jillian.
The awesome:
2 teen boys were talking about smoking weed on the bus and one turns to the other and says "here is what you do you order a pizza to be delivered then you smoke and then right when you get the munchies a dude shows up at your house with pizza." On a bus full of Cal students who think they are geniuses this kid is the true genius.
